SAVVi is a dynamic and interdisciplinary network of global Viet-interested stakeholders that bridges the worlds of innovation and creativity. We bring together individuals, companies, and resources from these two kindred disciplines to collaborate and create synergies for mutual growth and success.

The innovation aspect of SAVVi encompasses entrepreneurs in various tech-related domains, such as agtech, edtech, fintech, healthtech, AI, web 3, etc. SAVVi connects investors and entrepreneurs to empower their growth. In some instances, entrepreneurs collaborate with artists, musicians, and filmmakers to explore new ways of storytelling, create interactive experiences, and enhance audience engagement through innovative technologies.

On the creativity side, professionals in the film, music, and other expressive arts industries work together to produce, promote, and distribute creative content. Collaborations between entrepreneurs and creatives can result in unique experiences and storytelling, pushing the boundaries of film and music production.

STORY

[Our History]

2010-2020

Our story began in 2000. After returning to the US from their trip with President Clinton on his historic visit to Vietnam in 2000, a group of Vietnamese American professionals in Silicon Valley established in 2001 a network for Viet tech entrepreneurs. It took on the name Vietnamese Silicon Valley Network (“VSVN”).
In 2005, it opened its first chapter in Southern California and renamed the organization to “Vietnamese Strategic Ventures Network.” We expanded quickly to Texas and partnered with an affiliate in France.
2012, we added the film industry to our focuses, seeing it as a catalyst to boost every other industry in Vietnam.

2020-Now

In 2023, after a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, SAVVi came back with the TECx 2023 conference, which combined the Vietnamese tech, film, and music industries into one cohesive event dedicated to answering the question “Is Vietnam ready for private equity investment in these three pillars?” The answer was a resounding yes, motivating SAVVi to do everything we can to boost Vietnam’s tech, film, and music industries through our network of members around the world.
